A-Frame Reno - Living Room

While we're here, let's talk about the windows!  I said before that I was inspired by Matilda Pink's A-Frame renovation, and I especially loved the windows.  So I decided to trim out all of my windows in a similar fashion. I just love them!

I knew I wanted to close off the doorway in the living room.  I used a piece of wainscoting and simply painted it white and glued it in place:

I printed out some book covers available on the internet and used blank paper for the pages.  Then I built a bookcase to hold them, made to fit perfectly in that space.

For the couch, I used a large piece of foam packaging from some computer equipment, covered it with fabric from the dollar store, and added some cute throw pillows and an area rug made out of a canvas bag!

I made a tv stand out of some craft wood from the dollar store, which I stained with a nice oak stain.  I made the tv out of a plastic dollar store chalkboard, after painting the frame black.  I added a base made of a flat plastic piece I had on hand.

That little spot by the front window really needing "something" - so I added a little cat tree!
